77	77	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE O F OKLAHOMA:
78	78	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
79	79	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 936 of Title 74, unless there is
80	80	created a duplication in numbering, reads as f ollows:
81	81	A. Any eligible employer shall have the authority to
82	82	investigate all current employees or persons who were employed by
83	83	the state. The eligible employer shall have the respo nsibility to
84	84	determine a reasonable basis for investigation related to alleged
85	85	illegal or inappropriate conduct.
86	86	B. The workplace investigation shall follow a fair procedure.
87	87	The employer shall no t violate an employee’s reasonable expectation
88	88	of privacy and the investigation shall be kept confidential.

140	140	C. The eligible employer shall report to the proper authorities
141	141	illegal conduct found during the investigation.
142	142	D. In addition to the penalty authorized for the illegal
143	143	conduct, an employee may be found guilty as a result of the employer
144	144	investigation; upon conviction, the court may deprive the employee
145	145	of his or her pension o r any part thereof.
146	146	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
