7777 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE O F OKLAHOMA:
7878 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
7979 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 936 of Title 74, unless there is
8080 created a duplication in numbering, reads as f ollows:
8181 A. Any eligible employer shall have the authority to
8282 investigate all current employees or persons who were employed by
8383 the state. The eligible employer shall have the respo nsibility to
8484 determine a reasonable basis for investigation related to alleged
8585 illegal or inappropriate conduct.
8686 B. The workplace investigation shall follow a fair procedure.
8787 The employer shall no t violate an employee’s reasonable expectation
8888 of privacy and the investigation shall be kept confidential.

140140 C. The eligible employer shall report to the proper authorities
141141 illegal conduct found during the investigation.
142142 D. In addition to the penalty authorized for the illegal
143143 conduct, an employee may be found guilty as a result of the employer
144144 investigation; upon conviction, the court may deprive the employee
145145 of his or her pension o r any part thereof.
146146 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
