7575 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
7676 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2021, Section 353.30, is
7777 amended to read as follows:
7878 Section 353.30. A. The use of collaborative practice
7979 agreements in the practice of pharmacy shall be acceptable within
8080 the rules promulgated by the State Board of Pharmacy an d in
8181 consultation with the State Board of Medical Licensure and
8282 Supervision and the State Board of Osteopathic Examiners . A
8383 pharmacist may enter into a collaborative practice agreement with
8484 one or more practitioners licensed in this state .
8585 B. The Board shall develop and prepare permanent rules relating
8686 to collaborative practice agreements including, but not limited to,
8787 training requirements and administration of immunizations and

139139 therapeutic injections in consultatio n within the State Board of
140140 Medical Licensure and S upervision and the State Board of Osteopathic
141141 Examiners.
142142 C. A pharmacist who has completed a requisite course of
143143 training as approved by the Board in consultation with the State
144144 Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision and the State Board of
145145 Osteopathic Examiners may administer therapeutic injections on
146146 orders from a licensed prescriber, and may administer immunizations
147147 that have been approved or authorized by the Food an d Drug
148148 Administration without a p atient-specific prescription, standing
149149 order or similar arrangement.
150150 D. As used in this section, “collaborative practice agre ement”
151151 means a formal agreement in which a licensed practitioner makes a
152152 diagnosis, supervises patient care, and refers patients t o a
153153 pharmacist under a protocol that allows the pha rmacist to perform
154154 specific patient care functio ns including, but not limited to,
155155 administration of immunizations and therapeutic injections .
156156 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective Nov ember 1, 2023.
