49	75		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
50	76		SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
51	77		in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 7-304.2 of Title 29, unless
52	78		there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
53	79		A. After the effective date of this act, twenty thousand
54	80		(20,000) acres of the Pushmataha Wildlife Management Area shall be
55	81		renamed as the Pushmataha Wildlife Preserve.
56	82		B. The purpose of the Pushmataha Wildlife Preserve shall be to
57	83		regulate the hunting and preservation of the wildlife and game in
58	84		the area in order to further the preservation of Oklahoma’s wildlife
59	85		population.
60	86		C. The total maximum allocation of funds necessary by the
61	87		Department of Wildlife Conservation shall be One Million Dollars
62		-	($1,000,000.00). The funds shall be derived from legislative

91	141		enclosing of the land, wildlife personnel, and all expenses deemed
92	142		necessary by the Director for the management of the Pushmataha

94	144		D. The Department of Wildlife Conservation shall promul gate
95	145		rules necessary for the preservation of the Pushmataha Elk Reserve.
96	146		SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
