BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 13000 of Title 74, unless there is created a duplication in numb ering, reads as follows: A. There is hereby created until July 1, 2027, the Oklahoma Commission on Chinese Foreign Influence , which shall consist of seven (7) members and shall be co mprised as follows: 1. The Governor, who shall serve as chairperson, or designee; 2. One member who has expertise in foreign policy in the Asian region, appointed by the Governor; Req. One member who has expertise in military affairs related to United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM), appointed by the Governor; 4. The Attorney General, or designee; 5. The Commissioner of Public Safety , or designee; 6. The Homeland Security Advisor, or designee; and 7. The Director of the Department of Commerce, or designee . B. The Commission shall study, evaluate, and make recommendations for any changes to state policy, rules, or statutes to combat the influence of the Chinese Communist Party and government of China in Oklahoma. C. The Commission shall meet at least quarterly at the call of the chair and prepare and issue a report of its findings and recommendations to the Governor, President Pro Tempore of the Senate, and Speaker of the House of Representatives by July 1, 2023, and each year thereafter no later than July 1 of each year. D. Members of the Commission shall receive n o compensation for serving on the Commission, but shall receive travel reimbur sement as follows: 1. State employees who are members of th e Commission shall be reimbursed for necessary travel expenses incurred in the perfor mance of their duties by their respec tive agencies in accordance with the State Travel Reimbursement Act; and Req. All other members of the Commission shall be reimbursed by the Office of Management an d Enterprise Services for necessary travel expenses incurred in the performance of their duties i n accordance with the State T ravel Reimbursement Act. SECTION 2.
