214 | 214 | | D. The local law enforcement agency shall include information |

215 | 215 | | on its police report regarding the status of the alleged victim as a |
---|
216 | 216 | | student at an institution as defined in this act. |
---|
217 | 217 | | E. The institution shall not b e held liable if the local law |
---|
218 | 218 | | enforcement agency refuses to enter into a memorandum of |
---|
219 | 219 | | understanding as required by this section. |

261 | 261 | | confidential advisors or to serve in other confidential roles. |

262 | 262 | | 2. The confidential advisor shall complete the training |
---|
263 | 263 | | requirements as provided in this act. |
---|
264 | 264 | | 3. Not later than January 1, 2024, the Attorney General, in |
---|
265 | 265 | | collaboration with the State Regents, shall develop online training |
---|
266 | 266 | | materials, in addition to the training required under this act, for |
---|
267 | 267 | | the training of confidential advisors. |

268 | 268 | | 4. The confidential advisor shall inform the alleged victim of |

365 | 365 | | 8. The confidential advisor shall advise the all eged victim of, |
---|
366 | 366 | | and provide written information regarding, both the alleged victim's |
---|
367 | 367 | | rights and the institution's responsibilities regarding orders of |
---|
368 | 368 | | protection, no-contact orders, restraining orders, o r similar lawful |
---|
369 | 369 | | orders issued by a court of competen t jurisdiction or by the |
---|
370 | 370 | | institution. |

371 | 371 | | 9. The confidential advi sor shall not be obligated to report |
---|
372 | 372 | | crimes to the institution or law enforcement in a way that |
---|
373 | 373 | | identifies an alleged victim or an accused individual, unless |
---|
374 | 374 | | otherwise required to do so by law. The confidential advisor shall, |
---|
375 | 375 | | to the extent authorized unde r law, provide confidential services to |
---|

468 | 468 | | specific crime to the institution using the online reporting system. |
