An Act relating to agriculture; amending 2 O.S. 2021,
Section 6-214, which relates to the definition o f
Oklahoma certified beef; modifying definition; and
providing an effective date.
SUBJECT: Agriculture
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OK LAHOMA:
SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 2 O.S. 2021, Section 6 -214, is
amended to read as follows:
Section 6-214. "Oklahoma certified beef meat" shall mean any
bovine, swine, goat, lamb, poultry, or fish product bred, born,
raised, and slaughtered processed within the State of Oklahoma. The
term "Oklahoma Certified" shall not be used to describe any mea t
that was not bred, born, raised and processed in the state of
Oklahoma, not limited to but shall include: Oklahoma Certified
Beef, Oklahoma Certified Ch icken and Oklahoma Ce rtified Goat.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective Novemb er 1, 2023.
