4243 An Act relating to schools; amending 70 O.S. 2021,

6061 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
6162 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 70 O.S. 2021, Section 11 -106.1, is
6263 amended to read as follows:
6364 Section 11-106.1 A. All material purchased by a public school
6465 or made available on school property, including professional
6566 development material and instructional material, including but not
6667 limited to teacher manuals, films, tapes , or other supplementary
6768 instructional material in any format, used by a public school as

143146 2. "Professional development ma terial" means tools, resources,
144147 and training sessions, regardless of format, for school personnel to
145148 improve their teaching quality, effectiveness, and teambuilding.
146149 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2023.
147150 SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
148151 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
149152 declared to exist, by reason whereof thi s act shall take effect and
150153 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
