AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to motor vehicles; amending 47 O.S.
2021, Section 15-101.1, which relates to municipal
regulation of traffic on boundary lines; specifying
location of certain boundary lines; and providing an
effective date.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 47 O.S. 2021, Section 15-101.1, is
amended to read as follows:
Section 15-101.1 Any city or town may promulgate, a dopt and
enforce ordinances governing and regulating the operation of motor
vehicles and other traffic u pon roads, streets and highways that
form the boundary line of such city or town, subjec t to the
provisions of Section 15 -101 et seq. of this title. When any
portion of a dedicated road, street , or highway, as dedicated by a
plat map or deed or Oklahoma O rganic Act of 1890 reserved right-of-

way, touches the municipal limits of a city or town , the entire
portion of the dedicated road, street , or highway shall form the
boundary line for purposes of this section regardless of the
location of the paved portion of the road, street, or highway.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effe ctive November 1, 2024.
