81	81	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
82	82	SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 21 O.S. 2021, Section 650.6, as
83	83	amended by Section 1, Chapter 136, O.S.L. 2023 (21 O.S. Supp. 2023,
84	84	Section 650.6), is amended to read as follows:
85	85	Section 650.6 A. Every person who commits any assault upon any
86	86	county commissioner, county clerk, county assessor, county
87	87	treasurer, or any officer of a state district or appellate court, or
88	88	the Workers' Compensation Court, including but not lim ited to
89	89	judges, bailiffs, court reporters, court clerks or deputy court
90	90	clerks, or upon any witnesses or juror, because of said person's

143	143	service in such capacity, shal l be guilty of a misde meanor
144	144	punishable by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than one
145	145	(1) year, by a fine not to exceed One Thousan d Dollars ($1,000.00),
146	146	or by both such imprisonment and fin e.
147	147	B. Every person who commits any battery or assault and battery
148	148	upon any county commissioner, county clerk, county assessor, county
149	149	treasurer, or officer of a state district or appellate court, or the
150	150	Workers' Compensation Court, including but not limit ed to judges,
151	151	bailiffs, court reporters, court clerks o r deputy court clerks , or
152	152	upon any witnesses or juror, because of said person's service in
153	153	such capacity or within six (6) months of said pers on's service in
154	154	such capacity, shall be guilty of a felony punishable by
155	155	imprisonment in the custody of the Depart ment of Corrections f or not
156	156	more than five (5) years, by a fine of not more than Five Thousand
157	157	Dollars ($5,000.00), or by both such imprisonme nt and fine.
158	158	C. Every person who knowingly commits any ass ault, battery or
159	159	assault and battery upon a process ser ver licensed in this state
160	160	while the person is in the performance of his or her duties shall,
161	161	upon conviction, be guilty of a misdemeanor felony punishable by
162	162	imprisonment in the county jail custody of the Depar tment of
163	163	Corrections for not more than one (1) year five (5) years, by a fine
164	164	not to exceed One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) Five Thousand Dollars
165	165	($5,000.00), or by both such imprisonment and fine.
