AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to cities and towns; limiting
issuance of traffic tickets for municipalities of
certain size; providing for codification; and
providing an effective da te.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OK LAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 22-117.2 of Title 11, unless
there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
The police department of any municipality with a population of
less than five thousand (5,000) persons, according to the most
recent Federal Decennial Census, may only issue fifty (50) traffic
tickets a year.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
