17	47		holders to check identification cards; clarifying
18	48		that selling or providing alcoholic beverages to
19	49		persons under twenty -one years of age is prohibited;

27	55		BE IT ENACTED BY THE P EOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

29	56		SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law not to be
30	57		codified in the Oklahoma Statutes reads as follows:

32	58		This act shall be known and may be cited as "Odell's Law".

34	59		SECTION 2. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
35	60		in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 2 -163 of Title 37A, unless there
36	61		is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

38	62		Holders of a license issued by the Oklahoma Alcoholic Beverage
39	63		Laws Enforcement Commission pursuant to Title 37A of the Oklahoma
40	64		Statutes shall not be required by state law, administrative rule, or
41	65		regulation to check identification (ID) cards prior to selling or

43	94		their discretion, may still choose to check and verify a person's ID
44	95		prior to selling or serving a person an alcoholic beverage.

46	96		Nothing in this section shall absolve the license holder from
47	97		the prohibition of selling or serving alcoholic beverage s to a
48	98		person under twenty-one (21) years of age.

50	99		SECTION 3. This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
