7979 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
8080 SECTION 1. REPEALER 26 O.S. 2021, Section 4-121, as last
8181 amended by Section 1, Chapter 264, O.S.L. 2023 (26 O.S. Supp. 2023,
8282 Section 4-121), is hereby repealed.
8383 SECTION 2. AMENDATORY 26 O.S. 2021, Section 7 -102.1, is
8484 amended to read as follows:
8585 Section 7-102.1 A. Prior to the day of the election, it shall
8686 be the duty of the secretary of the county election board to prepare
8787 for each precinct where an election i s to be held in the county, a
8888 written or electronic precinct registry which shall contain
8989 information on all registered voters in the precinct as prescribed

141141 by the Secretary of the State Election Board. The information which
142142 is or would be contained in su ch a registry shall at all times be
143143 public information.
144144 B. The Secretary of the State Election Board may aut horize the
145145 use of electronic precinct registries by one or more county election
146146 boards. Subject to available funding, the Secretary may purchase
147147 any equipment and software necessary to implement an electronic
148148 precinct registry system. The Secretary shall promulgate rules as
149149 necessary to implement, operate and maintain security for a system
150150 of electronic precinct registries.
151151 SECTION 3. AMENDATORY 26 O.S. 2021, Section 7 -117, is
152152 amended to read as follows:
153153 Section 7-117. A. Persons who have been determined to be
154154 eligible to vote shall sign, in the presence of the clerk, the
155155 proper precinct registry. The clerk shall then is sue proper ballots
156156 to the person. The voter 's signature on the precinct registry shall
157157 be the best evidence of the voter 's having voted at said election.
158158 B. Precinct registries including data from ele ctronic precinct
159159 registries, shall be retained by the county election board for a
160160 period of twenty-four (24) months following the election and shall
161161 be subject to public inspect ion.
162162 SECTION 4. This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
