48 | 102 | | A. 1. Service Oklahoma shall permit a driver license or state |

51 | 105 | | primary care physician, licensed psychologist, or lic ensed |

52 | 106 | | psychiatrist. The designation shall be used by a law enforcement |

53 | 107 | | officer or an emergency medical professional to identify and |

54 | 108 | | effectively communicate with a person who has been diagnosed with an |
---|
55 | 109 | | autism spectrum disorder and shall not be used for any oth er purpose |
---|
56 | 110 | | by any other person. |

58 | 111 | | 2. The cardholder may choose whether the voluntary designation |
---|
59 | 112 | | indicating that a person has been diagnosed with an autism spectrum |
---|
60 | 113 | | disorder pursuant to paragraph 1 of this subsection shall be |

61 | 114 | | displayed on the driver lic ense or identification card or in the |

62 | 115 | | Oklahoma Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (OLETS) in |

63 | 116 | | accordance with procedures prescribed by Service Oklahoma. A holder |

64 | 117 | | of a driver license or identification card who makes a voluntary |

65 | 118 | | designation pursuant to th is section shall have the opportunity to |

109 | 210 | | information shall be exclusively used during a motor vehicle stop or |

110 | 211 | | other law enforcement action to assist law enforcement officers in |

111 | 212 | | identifying and effectively comm unicating with a person who has been |
---|
112 | 213 | | diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. |
---|
114 | 214 | | 4. Any information submitted to Service Oklahoma or licensed |
---|
115 | 215 | | operators pursuant to this section shall not be considered a |
---|
116 | 216 | | government record pursuant to subparagraph c of paragrap h 1 of |

117 | 217 | | Section 24A.5 of Title 51 of the Oklahoma Statutes and shall not be |

118 | 218 | | discoverable as a government record by any person, entity, or |

119 | 219 | | governmental agency, except upon a subpoena issued by a grand jury |
