5051 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5152 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 21 O.S. 2021, Section 13.1, is
5253 amended to read as follows:
5354 Section 13.1 Persons convicted of:
5455 1. First degree murder as defined in Section 701.7 of this
5556 title;
5657 2. Second degree murder as defined by Section 701.8 of this
5758 title;
5859 3. Manslaughter in the first degree as defined by Section 711

186190 26. Domestic abuse committed against a pregnant woman with
187191 knowledge of the pregnancy and a miscarriage occurs or injury to the
188192 unborn child occurs as provided for in paragraph 3 of subsection E
189-of Section 644 of this title ; or
190-27. Domestic assault and battery by strangulation as provided
191-for in subsection J of Section 644 of this title,

192194 shall be required to serve not less than eighty -five percent (85%)
193195 of any sentence of imprisonment imposed by the judicial system prior
194196 to becoming eligible for considerati on for parole. Persons
195197 convicted of these offenses shall not be eligible for earned cr edits
196198 or any other type of credits which have the effect of reducing the
197199 length of the sentence to less than eighty -five percent (85%) of the
198200 sentence imposed.
199201 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
