AS INTRODUCED 
 
An Act relating to elections; creating the Felony 
Voting Rights Notification Act ; requiring  
notification process of restoration of votin g rights 
for individuals convicted of a felony ; providing for 
codification; and providing an effective date . 
 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new se ction of law to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 4-101.1 of Title 26, unless 
there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: 
A.  This act shall be known and may be cited as the " Felony 
Voting Rights Notification Act ". 
B.  The purpose of this act is to esta blish a collaboration 
between the State Election Board and the Department of Corrections 
to notify individuals convicted of a felony when their voting rights 
have been restored. 
C.  The State Election Board and the Department of Corrections 
shall collaborate to establish a notification system.  The 
notification shall include information about the restoration of the

voting rights of the individual and relevant procedures for the 
individual to apply for voter registration . 
SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
