53	52		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
54	53		SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
55	54		in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1-126 of Title 70, unless there
56	55		is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
57	56		Prior to the beginning of the 2024 -2025 school year, each school
58	57		district board of education in this state shall adopt a phone-free
59	58		campus policy that prohibits the use of cell phones by students
60	59		while on the campus of a public school district.
61	60		SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2024.
62	61		SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
63	62		of the public peace, health , or safety, an emergency is hereby
