65	65	An Act relating to conduct of elections; defining
66	66	terms; prohibiting certain voting systems; providing
67	67	for codification; and providing an effective date.

73	73	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
74	74	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
75	75	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 7-140 of Title 26, unless there
76	76	is created a duplicatio n in numbering, reads as follows:
77	77	A. As used in this section:
78	78	1. “Instant runoff voting” means any voting system in which a
79	79	voter ranks candidates in a sequence from first, second, third, and
80	80	onward to determine which candidates advance to a general elec tion;
81	81	and
82	82	2. “Ranked choice voting, ranked voting, proportional ranked
83	83	voting, or preferential voting” means any voting system in which a
84	84	voter ranks candidates in a sequence from first, second, third, and
85	85	onward on a ballot to determine a winning candida te.

137	137	B. No election conducted by the State Election Board, a county
138	138	election board, or any entity authorized to conduct elections in
139	139	this state shall use ranked choice voting, ranked voting ,
140	140	proportional ranked voting, preferential voting, or instant runof f

142	142	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
