7575 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
7676 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section o f law to be codified
7777 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1-1951.2 of Title 63, unless
7878 there is created a duplication in numbering , reads as follows:
7979 A. Not later than November 1, 202 7, the State Commissioner of
8080 Health shall promulgate rules governing employer -based training
8181 programs for nurse aides including, but not limited to, rules that
8282 allow the employment of noncertified nurse aides enrolled in an
8383 employer-based training program, subject to the conditions allowed
8484 in such rules.
8585 B. 1. Until November 1, 2027, an employer-based training
8686 program for nurse aides shall consist of at least eighty -five (85)

138138 hours of training or the e quivalent if the facil ity is subject to
139139 regulation by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
140140 2. Of the total required hours of training or the equivalent as
141141 specified in paragraph 1 of this su bsection, the program shall
142142 include:
143143 a. at least sixteen (16) hours of supervised practical
144144 training that is documented and signed by the nurse
145145 aide trainee,
146146 b. all of the curriculum specified in 42 C.F.R., Section
147147 483.152(b), and
148148 c. pursuant to paragraph 3 of subsection A of Section 1-
149149 1951 of Title 63 of the Oklahoma Statutes, a minimum
150150 of ten (10) hours of training in the care o f
151151 Alzheimer’s patients.
152152 C. 1. Until November 1, 202 7, an employer-based training
153153 program for nurse aides shall consist of at least one hundred twenty
154154 (120) hours of training or t he equivalent if the facility is not
155155 subject to regulation by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid
156156 Services.
157157 2. Of the total required hours of training or the e quivalent as
158158 specified in paragraph 1 of this subsection , the program shall

224224 (2) social media behavior and priva cy,
225225 (3) organizational structure of various care provider
226226 settings,
227227 (4) trauma-informed care,
228228 (5) basic legal statuses of residents or patients
229229 including, but not limited to, guardianship,
230230 power of attorney, advance directive, and living
231231 will,
232232 (6) understanding basic cultural competency and
233233 religious preferences,
234234 (7) resident sexuality in car e settings,
