SENATE BILL 1797 By: Dahm
AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to the definitions and general
provisions; directing certain memorial to be moved to
State Capitol Park; authorizing Capitol Architect and
Curator to conduct certain negotiation; providing for
codification; and providing an effective date.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 65 of Title 73, unless there is
created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
The USS Oklahoma Anchor Memorial located at 1320 N Broadway
Avenue in the City of Oklahoma City shall be moved to a location at
State Capitol Park, as defined in Section 1811.4 of Title 74 of the
Oklahoma Statutes. Such location shall be designated by the Capitol
Architect and Curator. The Capitol Architect and Curator shall have
the authority to negotiate the terms of the removal of the USS
Oklahoma Anchor Memorial to such location with the relevant entities
with ownership and other rights regarding the USS Oklahoma Anchor
Memorial.
