SENATE BILL 1824 	By: Dahm 
 
 
 
 
 
AS INTRODUCED 
 
An Act relating to professions and occupations; 
prohibiting additional licensure by a county, 
municipality, or political subdivision if individual 
already received licensure from state; providing for 
continuation of licensing board powers and duties; 
providing for codification; and providing an 
effective date. 
 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 6006 of Title 59, unless there 
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: 
A.  After the effective date of this act, any person licensed by 
any licensing boards of this state providing licensing for 
professional occupations including, but not limited to, the 
following shall not be required to receive additional licensing as 
may be required by any county, municipality, or political 
subdivision in this state: 
1.  The Oklahoma Accountancy Board;

2.  The Board of Governors of t he Licensed Architects, Landscape 
Architects and Registered Commercial Interior Designers of Oklahom a; 
3.  The State Board of Cosmetology and Barbering; 
4.  The Oklahoma Funeral Board; 
5.  The State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and 
Land Surveyors; 
6.  The State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners; 
7.  The Oklahoma Real Estate Commission; 
8.  The Real Estate Appraiser Board; 
9.  The Construction Industries Board ; 
10.  The Oklahoma Uniform Building Cod e Commission; 
11.  The Oklahoma Inspector Examiners Committee ; and 
12.  The Alarm, Locksmith and Fire Sprinkler Industry Committee . 
B.  Nothing in this section shall be construed to remove, 
abrogate, reduce, or otherwise affect any power or duty of a 
licensing board to establish or enforce licensure qualifications, 
examination requirements , or disciplinary standards or procedures, 
or to exercise any other power or duty of the licensing board 
provided by law. 
SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
