4777 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
4878 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2021, Section 1354, is
4979 amended to read as follows:
5080 Section 1354. There is hereby re-created, to continue until
5181 July 1, 2023, pursuant t o the provisions of the Oklahoma Sunset Law,
5282 the State Board of Examiners of Psychologists. The Board shall
5383 administer the provisions of the Psychologists Licensing Act. The
5484 Board shall consist of seven (7) members appointed by the Governor.
5585 Five members shall be psychologists from various areas i n psychology
5686 and two members shall be lay persons. At the expi ration of the term
5787 of each Board member who is a psychologist , the Governor shall
5888 appoint a successor from a list of ten licensed psychologists whic h
59-is provided by the Oklahoma State Psycholog ical Association. In
60-selecting appointees, the Governor may consider recommendations from
61-a statewide organization representing ps ychologists, a state chapter

141+selecting appointees, the Governor may consider recommendations from

90144 groups or individuals in this st ate. Members shall serve for a term
91145 of four (4) years and until a successor is appointed and qualified.
92146 Before entering upon the duties of office, each member of the Board
93147 shall take the constitut ional oath of office and file it with the
94148 Secretary of State.
95149 SECTION 2. AMENDATORY 59 O. S. 2021, Section 135 7, is
96150 amended to read as follows:
97151 Section 1357. After giving the member a written statement of
98152 the charges and an opportunity to be heard the reon, the Governor may
99153 remove any member of the State Board of Examiners of Psychologi sts
100154 for misconduct, incompetency, or neglect of duty. Any vacancy in
101155 the membership of the Board shall be fil led by the Governor for the
102156 unexpired term. If there is a vacancy in the psychologist
103157 membership of the Board, the Gove rnor shall fill it from a list of
104158 ten (10) psychologists which is prov ided by the Oklahoma State
105159 Psychological Association . In selecting appointees, the Governor
106160 may consider recommendations from a statew ide organization
107161 representing psychologists, a state chapter of a national
108162 organization representing psychologists, or other gr oups or
109163 individuals in this state .
