47	77		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
48	78		SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2021, Section 1354, is
49	79		amended to read as follows:
50	80		Section 1354. There is hereby re-created, to continue until
51	81		July 1, 2023, pursuant t o the provisions of the Oklahoma Sunset Law,
52	82		the State Board of Examiners of Psychologists. The Board shall
53	83		administer the provisions of the Psychologists Licensing Act. The
54	84		Board shall consist of seven (7) members appointed by the Governor.
55	85		Five members shall be psychologists from various areas i n psychology
56	86		and two members shall be lay persons. At the expi ration of the term
57	87		of each Board member who is a psychologist , the Governor shall
58	88		appoint a successor from a list of ten licensed psychologists whic h
59		-	is provided by the Oklahoma State Psycholog ical Association. In

61		-	a statewide organization representing ps ychologists, a state chapter

90	144		groups or individuals in this st ate. Members shall serve for a term
91	145		of four (4) years and until a successor is appointed and qualified.
92	146		Before entering upon the duties of office, each member of the Board
93	147		shall take the constitut ional oath of office and file it with the
94	148		Secretary of State.
95	149		SECTION 2. AMENDATORY 59 O. S. 2021, Section 135 7, is
96	150		amended to read as follows:
97	151		Section 1357. After giving the member a written statement of
98	152		the charges and an opportunity to be heard the reon, the Governor may
99	153		remove any member of the State Board of Examiners of Psychologi sts
100	154		for misconduct, incompetency, or neglect of duty. Any vacancy in
101	155		the membership of the Board shall be fil led by the Governor for the
102	156		unexpired term. If there is a vacancy in the psychologist
103	157		membership of the Board, the Gove rnor shall fill it from a list of
104	158		ten (10) psychologists which is prov ided by the Oklahoma State
105	159		Psychological Association . In selecting appointees, the Governor
106	160		may consider recommendations from a statew ide organization
107	161		representing psychologists, a state chapter of a national
108	162		organization representing psychologists, or other gr oups or
109	163		individuals in this state .
