Grady Memorial Highway; designating the First MCPON Delbert D. Black, U.S. Navy, Me morial Highway; designating the Captain William "Willy" Hargraves Memorial Intersection; designating the Trooper L arry L. Hillyard Memorial Bridge; designating the C.D. Scribner WWII Veteran Mem orial Highway; designating the LCpl Nelson Matlock Memorial Hi ghway; amending Section 20, Chapter 356, O.S.L. 2022 (69 O.S. Supp. 2022, Section 1698.383), which relates to the William Mark Miller Memorial Highway; modifying location; providing for codifica tion; and providing an effective date. SUBJECT: Memorial highways and bridges BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Sec tion 1698.398 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: The section of State Highway 66 beginning at the intersection of Country Club Road on the southwest edge of Brist ow extending ENR. S. B. NO. 300 Page 2 northeasterly to the intersectio n of West 3rd Avenue in Creek County shall be designated as the "Army SPC Ryan J. Grady Memorial Highway". The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable markers bearing that name to be placed on the hig hway. SECTION 2. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.399 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: The section of Interstate 35 beginning on t he south side of the State Highway 32 inter change extending north approximately seven (7) miles to the north side of the Oswalt Road interchange in Love County shall be designated as the "First MCPON Delbert D. Black, U.S. Navy, Memorial Highway ". The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway. SECTION 3. NEW LAW A new secti on of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.400 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads a s follows: The intersection of U.S. Highway 60 and State Highway 18 north of Fairfax in Osage County shall be desi gnated as the "Captain William "Willy" Hargraves Memorial Intersection ". The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable markers beari ng that name to be placed at the intersection. SECTION 4. NEW LAW A new section of law to b e codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.401 of Title 69, unless there is created a dupli cation in numbering, reads as follows: The bridge crossing over Polecat Creek on U.S. Highway 75A south of Sapulpa in Creek County shall be designated as th e "Trooper Larry L. Hillyard Memorial Bridge ". The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name t o be placed on the bridge. SECTION 5. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.402 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, r eads as follows: ENR. S. B. NO. 300 Page 3 The section of State Highway 48A beginning at the intersection of Hollow Springs Road, extending east to the intersection of SH -48 in Coleman in Johnston County shall be designated as the "C.D. Scribner WWII Veteran Memorial Highway ". The Department of Transportation shall c ause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway. SECTION 6. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.403 of Title 69, unl ess there is created a duplication i n numbering, reads as follows: The section of State Highway 66 beginning at the intersection of Flynn Avenue in Depew ex tending east to the intersection of South 433rd W Avenue in Creek County shall be designated as the "LCpl Nelson Matlock Memorial Highw ay". The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway. SECTION 7. AMENDATORY Section 20, Chapter 356, O.S.L. 2022 (69 O.S. Supp. 2022, Section 1698.383), is am ended to read as follows: Section 1698.383. The section of Interstate 44 beginning one - half (0.5) mile north south of State Highway 36 interchange extending south north to U.S. Highway 70 interchange in Cotton County shall be designated as the "William Mark Miller Memorial Highway". The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway. SECTION 8. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023. ENR. S. B.
