SENATE BILL 487 By: Matthews
AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to the State Department of
Rehabilitation Services ; making an appropriation;
stating purpose; providing an effective date; and
declaring an emergency.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the State Department
of Rehabilitation Services from any monies not otherwise
appropriated from the General Revenue Fund o f the State Treasury for
the fiscal year ending June 30, 2 024, the sum of Four Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($400,000.00) or so much thereof as may be
necessary to fund the Statewide Independent Living Council as
created in Section 625.2 of Title 56 of the Oklahoma Statutes .
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2023.
SECTION 3. It being immediately n ecessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, by reason whereof thi s act shall take effect and
be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
