| 75 | 75 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: | |
| 76 | 76 | SECTION 1. NEW LAW A ne w section of law to be codified | |
| 77 | 77 | in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 501 of Title 72, unless there is | |
| 78 | 78 | created a duplication in numb ering, reads as follows: | |
| 79 | 79 | The Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs shall develop a | |
| 80 | 80 | financial assistance program, not to exceed Five Hundred Dollars | |
| 81 | 81 | ($500.00) per calendar year, for any veteran who was terminated from | |
| 82 | 82 | his or her job. The program shall also be available for surviving | |
| 83 | 83 | unremarried spouses who can verify their spouse was a veteran and is | |
| 84 | 84 | deceased. | |
| 85 | 85 | SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023. | |
