6565 An Act relating to veterans; directing the Oklahoma

7575 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
7676 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A ne w section of law to be codified
7777 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 501 of Title 72, unless there is
7878 created a duplication in numb ering, reads as follows:
7979 The Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs shall develop a
8080 financial assistance program, not to exceed Five Hundred Dollars
8181 ($500.00) per calendar year, for any veteran who was terminated from
8282 his or her job. The program shall also be available for surviving
8383 unremarried spouses who can verify their spouse was a veteran and is
8484 deceased.
8585 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
