61	58		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
62	59		SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 82 O.S. 2021, Section 1020.7, is
63	60		amended to read as follows:
64	61		Section 1020.7. Any person intending to use groundwater shall
65	62		make application apply to the Oklahoma Water Resources Board for an
66	63		appropriate permit as provided in Section 1020.11 of this title
67	64		before commencing any drilling for such purposes and before taking
68	65		water from any completed well heretofore drilled. Such application

96		-	to take and use groundwater shall be on a form provided by the Board
97	93		and pursuant to the rules and regulations established by the Board .
98	94		Any person intending to use groundwater for a medical marijuana grow
99	95		facility shall present to the Board a valid medical marijuana
100	96		commercial grower license issued by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana
101	97		Authority pursuant to Section 427.14 of Title 63 of the Oklahoma
102	98		Statutes.
103	99		The application heretofore filed with the Board shall be used in
104	100		granting permits for existing wells and the Board shall p ublish the
105	101		notice of the hearing thereon.
106	102		SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2025.
107	103		SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
108	104		of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereb y
109	105		declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
110	106		be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
