Digest: The Act would allow counties to use some money to pay for costs to implement a policy

Authorizes counties that receive moneys from the State Department of Agriculture under a past
appropriation to use up to eight percent of the moneys to pay expenses incurred in administering
grasshopper suppression efforts.
Declares an emergency, effective on passage.
A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to funding grasshopper suppression efforts; and declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1.	Counties that receive moneys appropriated under section 408, chapter 114,
Oregon Laws 2024, may use up to eight percent of the moneys to pay expenses incurred in
administering grasshopper suppression efforts.
SECTION 2.This 2025 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2025 Act takes effect
on its passage.
