Amends elements of the felony murder rule to require that defendant directly causes death or be an accomplice with the intent to cause death; permits vacating conviction or resentencing of defendants convicted of felony murder; amends maximum sentence; permits the defense of duress for victims of domestic violence; requires reporting of certain crime statistics and information.
Relates to residency requirements for police officers in a city with a population of one million or more; provides that any person appointed as a paid member of the police force of such city shall become a resident of any political subdivision or municipal corporation within such city within one year of his or her appointment and shall continue to reside within any political subdivision or municipal corporation.
Provides that it shall be unlawful for any person to organize, sponsor, conduct, promote, or participate in any contest, competition, tournament or derby where the objective of such contest or competition is to take wildlife.
Directs the commissioner of mental health to establish a maternal mental health workgroup to study and issue recommendations related to maternal mental health and perinatal and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders; identifies underrepresented and vulnerable populations and risk factors in the state for maternal mental health disorders that may occur during pregnancy and through the first postpartum year.
Relates to the obligation of a pharmacy to properly dispense or refill a prescription for a drug or device, or a non-prescription drug or device regardless of the ethical, moral or religious beliefs of any employee of such pharmacy.
Requires minors under 18 years to attend school on a full-time basis, unless such minor is seventeen or older and enrolled in a vocational or occupational education program, with the consent of the school district and the person in parental relation with the minor; requires such minor must enroll in GED course until age of 19 years, if the person leaves school.
Requires lithium batteries of less than 1 inch in diameter and products containing such batteries to be labeled with warnings that swallowing such batteries has been known to cause death.
