John Boozman is a Republican politician from Arkansas currently serving as a United States Senator, having been in office since 2011. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, on December 10, 1950, he graduated from Northside High School in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and pursued higher education at the University of Arkansas before obtaining his degree in optometry from Southern College of Optometry. Prior to his political career, he worked as an optometrist and business owner, and also served on the Rogers, Arkansas, school board.
