Enacts the "COVID-19 injured workers' protection act"; establishes a coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) presumption for public employee death benefits where a member was required to physically report to work; did in fact physically report to work as of March first, two thousand twenty; contracted COVID-19; and where the applicable head of the member's retirement system or such system's medical board determines COVID-19 to have been a significant contributing factor in the member's death.
Relates to treatment of gains from qualified opportunity zones in calculating taxable income; removes exclusion of gains on property in qualified opportunity zones in calculation of income.
Requires degree-granting institutions of higher education to make certain biennial disclosures and to conspicuously publish the report on the website of such institution and submit the website address of such report to the department.
Authorizes the commissioner of health to develop and supervise the execution of a program of immunization against COVID-19 for purposes of state aid to schools; requires immunization against COVID-19 for attendance at school.
Requires that a billing statement delivered to the customer by an energy services company include a side-by-side comparison showing both the price charged by the energy service company for commodity and delivery service during the prior billing period, and the price the customer would have paid had they taken commodity and delivery service from their local utility corporation or municipality; requires an energy service company to provide each of its customers with an annual statement comparing the price charged by the energy service company for commodity and delivery services and other energy-related value-added products over the prior twelve-month period with the price such customer would have paid had they taken commodity and delivery service from their local utility corporation or municipality.
Authorizes the office of parks, recreation and historic preservation and the office of mental health to conduct a study pertaining to a proposed expansion of the Long Island Motor Parkway trail.
Prohibits an individual or entity that performs services, work, or repairs from performing the services, work, or repairs relating to any insurance claim for which a public adjuster represents the insured or has negotiated or effected a settlement where such public adjuster has a financial or ownership interest in such individual or entity that performs the services, work, or repairs; requires public adjusters to make certain disclosures.
Permits certain registered pharmacy technicians to assist a licensed pharmacist in preparing prescriptions in facilities licensed pursuant to articles twenty-eight or thirty-one of the public health law, or a pharmacy owned and operated by such facility, under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist employed by such facility.
