Relates to establishing the crime of coercive control; provides that a person is guilty of coercive control when he or she engages in a course of conduct against a member of his or her same family or household, without the victim's consent, which results in limiting or restricting, in full or in part, the victim's behavior, movement, associations or access to or use of his or her own finances or financial information; and provides that coercive control is a class E felony.
Authorizes life insurers to establish wellness programs in conjunction with the issuance of life insurance policies; provides for full or partial reimbursement for the cost of a device and associated subscription that can be used to track activity or biometric data; provides for discounts on life insurance and on products or services intended to incent positive behavioral changes.
Provides that the court shall not reduce jury awards as excessive in employment discrimination actions unless the court finds exceptional circumstances which compel the conclusion that the jury was influenced by partiality, prejudice, mistake or corruption.
Requires that functional epinephrine auto-injector devices be made available in places of public assembly and that at least one employee or volunteer of such place of public assembly be trained in its proper operation and use and be present at each facility function.
Establishes the intent of the legislature to generally defer to parental choices regarding the care, custody and control of their children; mandates that the death of a parent shall be a factor when considering a grandparent's standing to receive visitation or custody; directs that costs be payable by an unsuccessful petitioner where a contest was brought in bad faith.
Requires minors under 18 years to attend school on a full-time basis, unless such minor is seventeen or older and enrolled in a vocational or occupational education program, with the consent of the school district and the person in parental relation with the minor; requires such minor must enroll in GED course until age of 19 years, if the person leaves school.
Provides that it shall be unlawful for any person to organize, sponsor, conduct, promote, or participate in any contest, competition, tournament or derby where the objective of such contest or competition is to take wildlife.
