| 22 | 22 | | It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: |

| 23 | 23 | | SECTION 1. In all respects in which the amendments to the Home Rule charter of the town 1 |

| 24 | 24 | | of Warren approved and adopted by the electors of the town of Warren which amendments were 2 |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | adopted and approved by the electors of the town of Warren on November 8, 2022, may require 3 |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | ratification, confirmation, validation, or enactment by the general assembly, but in no other 4 |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | respects, the provisions of said amendments to the Home Rule Charter of the town of Warren are 5 |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | hereby ratified, confirmed, validated and enacted. It is the express intention of the general 6 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | assembly, by the passage of this act, to give effect to, ratify, confirm, validate and enact those 7 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | provisions of the said amendments to the Home Rule Charter of the town of Warren which require 8 |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | ratification, confirmation, validation or enactment and by the passage of this act, the legislature 9 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | does hereby ratify, confirm, validate and enact said provisions, but nothing in this act shall be 10 |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | construed to abrogate or impair the powers now or hereafter granted to cities and towns by the 11 |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | Home Rule amendment and other applicable laws of the State of Rhode Island or those rights 12 |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | retained by said town of Warren in its Home Rule Charter. 13 |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | SECTION 2. If any provision of this act, or the application thereof to the town of Warren 14 |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | or to any person or circumstances is deemed invalid for any reason, the remainder of this act, or the 15 |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | application of such provision to said town or other persons or circumstances shall not be affected 16 |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | thereby, and to this end the provisions of this act are declared to be severable. 17 |
