| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Eleanor Slater Hospital/Zambarano Unit serves as an optimal model for all 4 |

| 27 | 27 | | long-term care facilities that provides outstanding health care services to those Rhode Islanders 5 |

| 28 | 28 | | who are in the greatest need, including geriatric patients, patients with developmental disabilities, 6 |

| 29 | 29 | | patients with Alzheimer's disease, and those with spinal cord injuries; and 7 |

| 30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, The Wallum Lake Fire Station is in critical need of re-building to replace 8 |

| 31 | 31 | | the deteriorating existing structure in order to continue to provide these critically needed services 9 |

| 32 | 32 | | to the community and the Zambarano Unit of the Eleanor Slater Hospital; now, therefore be it 10 |

| 33 | 33 | | RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not 11 |

| 34 | 34 | | otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 2023-2024, the sum of five million dollars ($5,000,000) 12 |
