2121 It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
2222 SECTION 1. Chapter 11-42 of the General Laws entitled "Threats and Extortion" is hereby 1
2323 amended by adding thereto the following section: 2
2424 11-42-4.1. Menacing. 3
2525 Whoever knowingly and willfully delivers or conveys, directly or indirectly, a verbal, 4
2626 written or physical threat to take the life of, or to inflict bodily harm upon, another person, shall be 5
2727 guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be imprisoned for not more than one year or fined not more than 6
2828 one thousand dollars ($1,000), or both. 7
2929 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. 8
