AND TRAINING

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: 
SECTION 1. Section 42-16.1-6 of the General Laws in Chapter 42-16.1 entitled 1 
"Department of Labor and Training" is hereby amended to read as follows: 2 
42-16.1-6. Board of review — Composition. 3 
There shall be a board of review consisting of three (3) five (5) members. One member 4 
shall be a representative of labor, one member shall be a representative of industry, one member 5 
shall be an owner of a small business, as defined in § 44-54-1 and one member two (2) members 6 
shall be a representative of the public generally. selected from the general public. Not more than 7 
two (2) three (3) members of the board shall be of the same political party. 8 
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. 9

This act would expand the board of review within the department of labor and training 1 
from three (3) to five (5) members in order to include a small business owner and a second member 2 
from the general public. 3 
This act would take effect upon passage. 4
