2222 RESOLVED, That the rules of the House of Representatives adopted by the House of 1
2323 Representatives at its January session, A.D. 2023, entitled "House Resolution Adopting Rules of 2
2424 the House of Representatives for the years 2023 and 2024", be and the same is hereby amended 3
2525 by adding the following new rule thereto: 4
2626 Legislative Grants 5
2727 (49) All appropriations of legislative grants contained in the budget bill shall be divided 6
2828 and appropriated by amount between the Senate and the House of Representatives. Any amount 7
2929 of legislative grants appropriated and allocated to the Senate shall be distributed in accordance 8
3030 with Senate rules or another method adopted by the Senate. 9
3131 Any amounts of legislative grants appropriated and allocated to the House of 10
3232 Representative shall be equally divided among the seventy-five (75) legislative districts, and the 11
3333 budget bill shall provide that each member may direct the distribution of the legislative grant 12
3434 intended for the district which such member represents by written communication to the Speaker 13
3535 of the House between July 1 and September 30 of each budget year. 14
