AMENDING THE RULES OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES FOR THE YEARS 
2023-2024

RESOLVED, That the rules of the House of Representatives adopted by the House of 1 
Representatives at its January session, A.D. 2023, entitled "House Resolution Adopting Rules of 2 
the House of Representatives for the years 2023 and 2024", be and the same is hereby amended 3 
by adding the following new rule thereto: 4 
Legislative Grants  5 
(49) All appropriations of legislative grants contained in the budget bill shall be divided 6 
and appropriated by amount between the Senate and the House of Representatives. Any amount 7 
of legislative grants appropriated and allocated to the Senate shall be distributed in accordance 8 
with Senate rules or another method adopted by the Senate. 9 
Any amounts of legislative grants appropriated and allocated to the House of 10 
Representative shall be equally divided among the seventy-five (75) legislative districts, and the 11 
budget bill shall provide that each member may direct the distribution of the legislative grant 12 
intended for the district which such member represents by written communication to the Speaker 13 
of the House between July 1 and September 30 of each budget year. 14

This resolution would require that all legislative grants allocated to the Senate be 1 
distributed in accordance with the rules of the Senate and that all legislative grants allocated to 2 
the House of Representatives be dived equally among the seventy-five (75) legislators. 3
