| 24 | 24 | | opportunities, and inadequate financial assistance; and 4 |

| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, In addition, Nora’s Haven prioritizes outreach to those facing systematic 5 |

| 26 | 26 | | challenges including people of color, individuals with disabilities, limited English proficiency, 6 |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | older adults, the LGBTQ+ communities, residents of low-income neighborhoods, and unhoused 7 |

| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, In order to meet the needs of those fleeing abusive situations as well as 9 |

| 30 | 30 | | myriad additional challenges, $500,000 is essential and would cover the following: 10 |

| 31 | 31 | | • Emergency Assistance including housing, transportation, and legal services; 11 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | • Basic needs including food, medicine, clothing, etc.; 12 |

| 33 | 33 | | • Other client support including training, therapy, and class supplies; and 13 |

| 34 | 34 | | • Administrative salaries, office rental, etc.; now, therefore be it 14 |

| 35 | 35 | | RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated, out of money in the treasury not 15 |

| 36 | 36 | | otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 2025-2026, the sum of five hundred thousand dollars 16 |
