A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION, Honoring Jordan Jensen of Brookings as Miss 
Rodeo South Dakota 2025. 
 WHEREAS, Jordan spent countless hours riding horses at a young age and started barrel 
racing at the age of twelve; and 
 WHEREAS, Jordan made history as the first Miss Rodeo South Dakota to be born and 
raised in Brookings; and 
 WHEREAS, Jordan earned an associate's degree in law enforcement from Lake Area 
Technical College in Watertown; and 
 WHEREAS, following her education, Jordan spent four years working in law enforcement, 
where she gained firsthand insight into mental health challenges that inspired her to create 
her platform, Mental Health Matters; and 
 WHEREAS, as Miss Rodeo South Dakota, Jordan will represent the state’s rich rodeo 
tradition and western heritage and serve as an ambassador for the sport, promoting rodeo 
and the rural lifestyle across South Dakota and beyond; 
 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the One Hundredth Legislature of the State 
of South Dakota, that Jordan Jensen is Miss Rodeo South Dakota 2025.
