10-A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION, Honoring Glenn Muller of Davis, selected as the
11-2025 Agribusiness Citizen of the Year by the Agribusiness Division of the
12-Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce.
13- WHEREAS, Glenn grew up on a farrow -to-finish swine operation near Davis, where he and
14-his family reside today; and
15- WHEREAS, Glenn earned his bachelor's degree in agriculture education from South Dakota
16-State University, and later taught in the West Lyon Community School District, at the
17-University of South Dakota, at Southeast Technical College, and at Smithfield Foods; and
18- WHEREAS, Glenn served as president of the South Dakota Pork Producers Council from
19-1991-1992, and later became the executive director in 2010; and
20- WHEREAS, pork production remains a vital component of South Dakota's economy; and
21- WHEREAS, Glenn was instrumental in gaining private and public funding for the Swine
22-Research Facility and public funding for needed upgrades at the Animal Disease Research and
23-Diagnostic Lab, both located at South Dakota State University;
24- NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the One Hundredth Legislature of the State
25-of South Dakota, that Glenn Muller is the 2025 Agribusiness Citizen of the Year as selected
26-by the Agribusiness Division of the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce.
