13		-	WHEREAS, Glenn grew up on a farrow -to-finish swine operation near Davis, where he and
14		-	his family reside today; and
15		-	WHEREAS, Glenn earned his bachelor's degree in agriculture education from South Dakota
16		-	State University, and later taught in the West Lyon Community School District, at the
17		-	University of South Dakota, at Southeast Technical College, and at Smithfield Foods; and
18		-	WHEREAS, Glenn served as president of the South Dakota Pork Producers Council from
19		-	1991-1992, and later became the executive director in 2010; and
20		-	WHEREAS, pork production remains a vital component of South Dakota's economy; and
21		-	WHEREAS, Glenn was instrumental in gaining private and public funding for the Swine
22		-	Research Facility and public funding for needed upgrades at the Animal Disease Research and
23		-	Diagnostic Lab, both located at South Dakota State University;
24		-	NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the One Hundredth Legislature of the State
25		-	of South Dakota, that Glenn Muller is the 2025 Agribusiness Citizen of the Year as selected
26		-	by the Agribusiness Division of the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce.
