ENTITLED An Act to authorize the South Dakota State Brand Board to enter a
memorandum of understanding with any Indian tribe for the investigation of
cattle theft.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. That a NEW SECTION be added to chapter 40-18:
The board may enter a memorandum of understanding, under the provisions of
chapter 1-24, with any federally recognized Indian tribe to cooperate in the investigation
of livestock theft on, and adjacent to, tribal lands, provided the tribal government
authorizes the memorandum. 25.718.10 2 170
