1212 A RESOLUTION to honor the memory of Dr. Zachary Tyler
1313 Medley of Cookeville.

1515 WHEREAS, the members of this General Assembly were greatly saddened to learn of
1616 the passing of Dr. Zachary Tyler Medley of Cookeville; and
1717 WHEREAS, Dr. Zachary Tyler Medley was an exemplary public servant and
1818 consummate professional who worked assiduously to improve the quality of life for his fellow
1919 citizens in numerous capacities; and
2020 WHEREAS, born in Lebanon on June 10, 1985, Dr. Medley was the son of Mark and
2121 Candice Medley; he was Valedictorian of the 2004 graduating class at Gordonsville High
2222 School; and
2323 WHEREAS, Dr. Zachary Medley completed his undergraduate studies at Tennessee
2424 Technological University and earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Mercer University in
2525 2011; and
2626 WHEREAS, a leader in his profession, Dr. Medley was the co-owner of Infinity
2727 Pharmacies in Cookeville, where he earned the respect and admiration of his peers and
2828 community alike; and
2929 WHEREAS, Dr. Medley was deeply devoted to his family, and he always endeavored to
3030 remain true to family values of the highest order; and
3131 WHEREAS, in addition to his parents, Dr. Zachary Medley will be sadly missed but
3232 fondly remembered by his beloved wife, Heather Lynn Medley; his daughter, Addilynn Jane
3333 Medley; his sisters, Jessica (Shawn) Frye and Lauren (Jeffrey) Davis; his nieces, Isabella Frye,
3434 Charlie Beth Davis, and Andi Grace Davis; his nephew, Cruz Frye; his father- and mother-in-

3939 law, Bart and Lynn Harden; and his brothers-in-law, Jamie (Krissy) Harden and Nick Harden;

4141 WHEREAS, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Stanley and Jodie Medley
4242 and Clarence and Mary Etta Nixon; and
4343 WHEREAS, Dr. Medley professed his faith in Christ at a young age and was baptized at
4444 Hickman Baptist Church; and
4545 WHEREAS, Dr. Zachary Medley leaves behind an indelible legacy of integrity and
4646 probity in public life, compassion and loyalty in private life, and diligence and dedication in all his
4747 chosen endeavors; and
4848 WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should pause to
4949 remember the bountiful life of this exceptional public servant and human being; now, therefore,
5050 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED
5151 FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEM BLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE
5252 CONCURRING, that we honor the memory of Dr. Zachary Tyler Medley, reflecting fondly upon
5353 his impeccable character and his stalwart commitment to living the examined life with courage
5454 and conviction.
5555 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we express our sympathy and offer our condolences
5656 to the family and friends of Dr. Medley.
5757 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
5858 for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
5959 the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear
6060 without House or Senate designation.
