12	12	A RESOLUTION to honor the memory of Dr. Zachary Tyler
13	13	Medley of Cookeville.

15	15	WHEREAS, the members of this General Assembly were greatly saddened to learn of
16	16	the passing of Dr. Zachary Tyler Medley of Cookeville; and
17	17	WHEREAS, Dr. Zachary Tyler Medley was an exemplary public servant and
18	18	consummate professional who worked assiduously to improve the quality of life for his fellow
19	19	citizens in numerous capacities; and
20	20	WHEREAS, born in Lebanon on June 10, 1985, Dr. Medley was the son of Mark and
21	21	Candice Medley; he was Valedictorian of the 2004 graduating class at Gordonsville High
22	22	School; and
23	23	WHEREAS, Dr. Zachary Medley completed his undergraduate studies at Tennessee
24	24	Technological University and earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Mercer University in
25	25	2011; and
26	26	WHEREAS, a leader in his profession, Dr. Medley was the co-owner of Infinity
27	27	Pharmacies in Cookeville, where he earned the respect and admiration of his peers and
28	28	community alike; and
29	29	WHEREAS, Dr. Medley was deeply devoted to his family, and he always endeavored to
30	30	remain true to family values of the highest order; and
31	31	WHEREAS, in addition to his parents, Dr. Zachary Medley will be sadly missed but
32	32	fondly remembered by his beloved wife, Heather Lynn Medley; his daughter, Addilynn Jane
33	33	Medley; his sisters, Jessica (Shawn) Frye and Lauren (Jeffrey) Davis; his nieces, Isabella Frye,
34	34	Charlie Beth Davis, and Andi Grace Davis; his nephew, Cruz Frye; his father- and mother-in-

39	39	law, Bart and Lynn Harden; and his brothers-in-law, Jamie (Krissy) Harden and Nick Harden;

41	41	WHEREAS, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Stanley and Jodie Medley
42	42	and Clarence and Mary Etta Nixon; and
43	43	WHEREAS, Dr. Medley professed his faith in Christ at a young age and was baptized at
44	44	Hickman Baptist Church; and
45	45	WHEREAS, Dr. Zachary Medley leaves behind an indelible legacy of integrity and
46	46	probity in public life, compassion and loyalty in private life, and diligence and dedication in all his
47	47	chosen endeavors; and
48	48	WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should pause to
49	49	remember the bountiful life of this exceptional public servant and human being; now, therefore,
50	50	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED
51	51	FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEM BLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE
52	52	CONCURRING, that we honor the memory of Dr. Zachary Tyler Medley, reflecting fondly upon
53	53	his impeccable character and his stalwart commitment to living the examined life with courage
54	54	and conviction.
55	55	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we express our sympathy and offer our condolences
56	56	to the family and friends of Dr. Medley.
57	57	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
58	58	for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
59	59	the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear
60	60	without House or Senate designation.
