<BillNo> <Sponsor> HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 3 By Clemmons HJR0003 000376 - 1 - A RESOLUTION to honor the memory of Dr. Zachary Tyler Medley of Cookeville. WHEREAS, the members of this General Assembly were greatly saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Zachary Tyler Medley of Cookeville; and WHEREAS, Dr. Zachary Tyler Medley was an exemplary public servant and consummate professional who worked assiduously to improve the quality of life for his fellow citizens in numerous capacities; and WHEREAS, born in Lebanon on June 10, 1985, Dr. Medley was the son of Mark and Candice Medley; he was Valedictorian of the 2004 graduating class at Gordonsville High School; and WHEREAS, Dr. Zachary Medley completed his undergraduate studies at Tennessee Technological University and earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Mercer University in 2011; and WHEREAS, a leader in his profession, Dr. Medley was the co-owner of Infinity Pharmacies in Cookeville, where he earned the respect and admiration of his peers and community alike; and WHEREAS, Dr. Medley was deeply devoted to his family, and he always endeavored to remain true to family values of the highest order; and WHEREAS, in addition to his parents, Dr. Zachary Medley will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his beloved wife, Heather Lynn Medley; his daughter, Addilynn Jane Medley; his sisters, Jessica (Shawn) Frye and Lauren (Jeffrey) Davis; his nieces, Isabella Frye, Charlie Beth Davis, and Andi Grace Davis; his nephew, Cruz Frye; his father- and mother-in- - 2 - 000376 law, Bart and Lynn Harden; and his brothers-in-law, Jamie (Krissy) Harden and Nick Harden; and WHEREAS, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Stanley and Jodie Medley and Clarence and Mary Etta Nixon; and WHEREAS, Dr. Medley professed his faith in Christ at a young age and was baptized at Hickman Baptist Church; and WHEREAS, Dr. Zachary Medley leaves behind an indelible legacy of integrity and probity in public life, compassion and loyalty in private life, and diligence and dedication in all his chosen endeavors; and WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should pause to remember the bountiful life of this exceptional public servant and human being; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEM BLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE CONCURRING, that we honor the memory of Dr. Zachary Tyler Medley, reflecting fondly upon his impeccable character and his stalwart commitment to living the examined life with courage and conviction. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we express our sympathy and offer our condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Medley. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear without House or Senate designation.
