12	12	A RESOLUTION to recognize Lisa Nagy on the occasion of her
13	13	retirement.

15	15	WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should specially
16	16	recognize those citizens who have performed with uncommon devotion and enthusiasm
17	17	throughout their years of public service; and
18	18	WHEREAS, Lisa Nagy is one such estimable person, who has demonstrated the
19	19	greatest dedication, ability, and integrity in all her chosen endeavors; and
20	20	WHEREAS, having distinguished herself as a public-spirited citizen of the highest order
21	21	throughout her exemplary tenure as administrative assistant of the Alcoa Police Department,
22	22	Ms. Nagy is taking her much-deserved retirement; and
23	23	WHEREAS, Lisa Nagy began her career with the Alcoa Police Department as a records
24	24	clerk/secretary in 1997 and rose through the ranks to administrative assistant in 2000,
25	25	approaching her duties in a professional manner and using her innate ability to work with
26	26	individuals from all walks of life to help others; and
27	27	WHEREAS, in her position, Ms. Nagy was an instrumental part of achieving the
28	28	department's first accreditation award from the Commission on Accreditation for Law
29	29	Enforcement Agencies in 2002; and
30	30	WHEREAS, in 2005, Ms. Nagy achieved designation as a Certified Administrative
31	31	Professional from the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP), and her
32	32	involvement with the organization led to her nomination and selection as Administrative
33	33	Professional of the Year in 2007, a most befitting honor that recognized her dedication to her
34	34	profession; and

39	39	WHEREAS, additionally, Lisa Nagy was chosen as the 2009 Administrative Professional
40	40	of the Year and the 2011 Member of the Year for the local IAAP; and
41	41	WHEREAS, a highly respected individual in her profession, Ms. Nagy has attended
42	42	numerous trainings and achieved her Certified Administrative Professional rating in 2005,
43	43	adding a specialty in organizational management credential in 2007; and
44	44	WHEREAS, prior to her position with the APD, Ms. Nagy devoted her time and talents to
45	45	several other governmental agencies within the State of Tennessee; she served the Tennessee
46	46	Bureau of Investigation's Information Enforcement System as an assistant terminal agency
47	47	coordinator before being promoted to a terminal agency coordinator and the Law Enforcement
48	48	Accreditation Coalition of Tennessee as a secretary/treasurer; and
49	49	WHEREAS, Lisa Nagy exemplifies the spirit and allegiance to family and community that
50	50	are characteristic of a true Tennessean; and
51	51	WHEREAS, throughout her years of public service, Ms. Nagy demonstrated the utmost
52	52	professionalism, ability, and integrity, winning the sincere respect and admiration of her
53	53	colleagues and a grateful public; now, therefore,
54	54	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESEN TATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED
55	55	FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE
56	56	CONCURRING, that we hereby honor and commend Lisa Nagy upon the occasion of her
57	57	retirement, extending our gratitude for her many years of dedicated service to the Alcoa Police
58	58	Department and our best wishes for success in all her future endeavors.
59	59	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
60	60	for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
61	61	the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear
62	62	without House or Senate designation.
