15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, the members of this General Assembly were greatly saddened to learn of |

16 | 16 | | the passing of Archie Douglas Clark; and |
---|
17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Archie Clark was a beloved friend and neighbor who did his utmost to |
---|
18 | 18 | | improve the well-being of all who were blessed to know him; and |
---|
19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, the son of Robert and Pauline Clark, Mr. Clark was a lifelong Blount |
---|
20 | 20 | | Countian, and he bravely served his country as a member of the United States Army and Air |
---|
21 | 21 | | National Guard; and |
---|
22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Archie Clark worked for several years as a barber and retired from his |
---|
23 | 23 | | position at West Chevrolet, where he was a beloved and respected salesperson; his love for |
---|
24 | 24 | | and knowledge of cars led him to become the first president of the East Tennessee Corvette |
---|
25 | 25 | | Club; and |
---|
26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Clark also served his community by visiting countless hospitals, nursing |
---|
27 | 27 | | homes, and shut-ins as a lay pastor, and he was a member of the Jaycees, the Empty Pantry of |

28 | 28 | | Blount County, the Masonic Lodge, and the Blount County Sheriff's Department Senior Citizens |
---|
29 | 29 | | Outreach Program; and |
---|
30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, Archie Clark was known as a man of faith who loved God and was a |

31 | 31 | | servant to all; he was also deeply devoted to his family and always endeavored to remain true to |

32 | 32 | | family values of the highest order; and |

33 | 33 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Clark is survived by his son, Tony (Beth) Clark; grandchildren, Ross |

34 | 34 | | (Mackenzie) Clark and Rachel Clark; several children he claimed as his own; sister, Helen |

35 | 35 | | Buchanan; and countless nieces, nephews, and special friends who were like family; and |
