15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, the members of this General Assembly were greatly saddened to learn of |

16 | 16 | | the untimely passing of Savannah Grace Copeland, a young lady who had accomplished a |

17 | 17 | | great deal in her thirteen years on Earth; and |

18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, the cherished daughter of Michael and Amanda Copeland, Savannah dearly |
---|
19 | 19 | | loved her family and friends, and she possessed an appreciation and affinity for art, especially |

20 | 20 | | drawing; and |
---|
21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, renowned for her beautiful smile that "lit up the room," Savannah Copeland |
---|
22 | 22 | | attended Powell Middle School, where she was a gifted student and an accomplished athlete, |

23 | 23 | | excelling in gymnastics, karate, and cheerleading; and |
---|
24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, she planned to study forensic anthropology at the University of Tennessee; |

26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Savannah was a longtime member of Powell United Methodist Church; and |

27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Savannah Copeland is survived by her loving parents, Michael and Amanda |

28 | 28 | | Copeland; brother, Britton Burchell, and twin brother, Kasey Copeland; great-grandfather, |
---|
29 | 29 | | Robert Baker; grandparents, Barbara Copeland, Shirley Patrick, and George and Sidney |
---|
30 | 30 | | Copeland; aunt, Laurie (Paul) Hunley; uncle, Scott (Laura) Copeland; cousins, Chris Hunley and |

31 | 31 | | April Hunley; and extended family members, Alicia Anderson and Allen Burchell; and |

32 | 32 | | WHEREAS, she was preceded in death by her grandfather, Wayne Patrick, and |

34 | 34 | | WHEREAS, although her life was all too brief, Savannah Copeland leaves behind an |

45 | 45 | | CONCURRING, that we honor the memory of Savannah Grace Copeland, giving thanks for her |
