| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-9-501, established advisory boards |

| 18 | 18 | | Tennessee at Chattanooga; University of Tennessee Health Science Center; and University of |

| 19 | 19 | | Tennessee Southern; and |

| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-9-501, provides that the governor |

| 21 | 21 | | shall appoint five members to each advisory board; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Governor Bill Lee has appointed DeWitt Booth to serve as a member of the |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | advisory board for the University of Tennessee Southern for a term that expires on June 30, |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | 2028; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Booth enjoyed an illustrious career as a banker, serving in various roles, |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | including as the vice president of the Bank of Frankewing in Pulaski, and he was an esteemed |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | member of the Giles County Industrial Development Board and the Southern Tennessee |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Regional Health Systems hospital board; and |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, he attended classes at Martin Methodist College, which is now the |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | University of Tennessee Southern, and was set to become a member of the Martin Methodist |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | Board of Trustees prior to its acquisition by the State of Tennessee; and |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Booth has regularly been involved with UT Southern's various |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | programs, including campus sports, the Student Advisory Board, and the President's Council; |
