A RESOLUTION to honor and congratulate Reagan Stanfill of
Campbell County High School, 2025 U.S.
Presidential Scholars Program candidate.
WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should pay tribute to
those students who, through their natural talents and unflagging commitment to excellence,
have distinguished themselves in the classroom and beyond; and
WHEREAS, Reagan Stanfill of Campbell County High School is one such exceptional
student, who was recently named a candidate in the 2025 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program;
and
WHEREAS, established in 1964 by executive order of the president, the U.S.
Presidential Scholars Program recognizes some of the nation's most distinguished graduating
high school seniors for their accomplishments in academics, leadership, community service, the
arts, and career and technical fields; and
WHEREAS, inclusion in the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program is an elite honor, with
only 5,000 candidates selected from a pool of approximately 3.6 million students from
throughout the country; and
WHEREAS, Reagan Stanfill and her fellow candidates will learn in early April who
among them has been selected as one of the 600 semifinalists, and from that group, individuals
will be named U.S. Presidential Scholars in May of this year by a group of thirty-two eminent
citizens; and
WHEREAS, the daughter of Rebekah and Arron Walden and the late Daniel Stanfill,
Reagan has proven herself to be a student of the highest caliber not only in Tennessee but also
in the nation; this distinct honor most certainly bodes well for her future success; and

WHEREAS, Reagan Stanfill's noteworthy achievement is a tremendous source of pride
for her family, her school, her community, and this State; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Stanfill's dedication to excellence is clearly deserving of our respect,
admiration, and commendation; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED
FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TE NNESSEE, THE SENATE
CONCURRING, that we honor and congratulate Reagan Stanfill of Campbell County High
School on being named a 2025 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program candidate and extend to her
our best wishes for much continued success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear
without House or Senate designation.
