| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, the members of this General Assembly are pleased to recognize a Middle |

| 16 | 16 | | Tennessee State University (MTSU) alumnus who reached the acme of professional football by |

| 17 | 17 | | winning Super Bowl LIX as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, a five-year starter at MTSU, Reed Blankenship set the school record for |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | career tackles and was twice named First Team All-Conference USA; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, despite going undrafted in 2022, Reed Blankenship carved out a starting |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | role at safety with the Eagles and soon became a critical part of a defense that helped lead |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Philadelphia all the way to Super Bowl LVII; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, in 2024, Reed Blankenship had 78 total tackles, 48 solo tackles, and 4 |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | interceptions as an integral component of the Eagles' defense, which was the best overall |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | defense in the league; and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, the 2024 Eagles posted an excellent 14-3 regular season record and then |

| 27 | 27 | | won two playoff games to reach Super Bowl LIX, where Reed Blankenship proved his true |

| 28 | 28 | | worth; and |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Reed Blankenship had 3 total tackles, and the Philadelphia defense was |

| 30 | 30 | | dominant, forcing three turnovers and recording six sacks to blow out the reigning champions |

| 31 | 31 | | 40-22 and claim a Super Bowl victory that was extremely one-sided; and |
