12	12	A RESOLUTION to honor and commend the Mt. Juliet Lady Bears
13	13	girls' basketball team upon winning the 2025
14	14	Class 4A District 12 tournament.

16	16	WHEREAS, it is fitting that this General Assembly should salute those student athletes
17	17	who, through their extraordinary efforts, have distinguished themselves as true champions of
18	18	whom we can all be proud; and
19	19	WHEREAS, one such exemplary group of lasses is the Mt. Juliet High School Lady
20	20	Bears girls' basketball team, whose members have proven themselves to be the fiercest of
21	21	competitors and truly worthy of admiration by winning the TSSAA Class 4A District 12
22	22	tournament; and
23	23	WHEREAS, in the championship game, the Lady Bears clipped the wings of the Green
24	24	Hill Lady Hawks by a score of 59-54 to bring home the gold; and
25	25	WHEREAS, Mt. Juliet relied heavily upon the talent, competitive spirit, and leadership of
26	26	the tournament's Most Valuable Player, McClaine Ringenberg, who led the Lady Bears to the
27	27	promised land by scoring 19 points in the final, including six fourth-quarter free throws; and
28	28	WHEREAS, also contributing significantly to the Lady Bears' title run were Claire Emery,
29	29	Aaliyah Holman, Addy Osborne, Isabella Craig, Makayla Hopson, Sophia McGresham, Carlie
30	30	Scurlock, Sara Valencia, Madison Davenport, Ava Grisham, Lilly Bugg, and Lilli Kerney; and
31	31	WHEREAS, the Lady Bears advanced to the Class 4A West regional competition, where
32	32	they crushed their quarterfinal opponent, McGavock, 66-45 and then defeated Hendersonville
33	33	52-50 in the semi-final round to reach the Region 6 championship game; and
34	34	WHEREAS, Mt. Juliet ended the 2024-2025 season on the road in the sectional round;

40	40	WHEREAS, the Lady Bears' superb performance would not have been possible without
41	41	the stellar leadership of Head Coach Jeremy Hawks and assistant coaches Caitlin Hammer,
42	42	Clayton Hawks, and Ashley Serbin and the unfailing support of their families, their fans, and
43	43	their community; and
44	44	WHEREAS, the members of the Mt. Juliet girls' basketball team epitomize all that is
45	45	good in today's student athletes, as they have achieved a premier level of success in
46	46	competition while exhibiting the highest degree of character in all aspects of life; and
47	47	WHEREAS, the perseverance, determination, work ethic, and talent of this group of
48	48	young ladies not only made possible an outstanding season but also surely bode well for their
49	49	future success; and
50	50	WHEREAS, the members of this General Assembly find it appropriate to acknowledge
51	51	and applaud the Mt. Juliet Lady Bears for their outstanding season on the hardwood; now,
52	52	therefore,
53	53	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED
54	54	FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE
55	55	CONCURRING, that we honor and commend the members and coaches of the Mt. Juliet High
56	56	School Lady Bears girls' basketball team upon winning the 2025 TSSAA Class 4A District 12
57	57	tournament and reaching the sectional round and extend to them our best wishes for every
58	58	continued success in all their future endeavors.
59	59	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
60	60	for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
61	61	the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear
62	62	without House or Senate designation.
