1212 A RESOLUTION to honor and commend the Mt. Juliet Lady Bears
1313 girls' basketball team upon winning the 2025
1414 Class 4A District 12 tournament.

1616 WHEREAS, it is fitting that this General Assembly should salute those student athletes
1717 who, through their extraordinary efforts, have distinguished themselves as true champions of
1818 whom we can all be proud; and
1919 WHEREAS, one such exemplary group of lasses is the Mt. Juliet High School Lady
2020 Bears girls' basketball team, whose members have proven themselves to be the fiercest of
2121 competitors and truly worthy of admiration by winning the TSSAA Class 4A District 12
2222 tournament; and
2323 WHEREAS, in the championship game, the Lady Bears clipped the wings of the Green
2424 Hill Lady Hawks by a score of 59-54 to bring home the gold; and
2525 WHEREAS, Mt. Juliet relied heavily upon the talent, competitive spirit, and leadership of
2626 the tournament's Most Valuable Player, McClaine Ringenberg, who led the Lady Bears to the
2727 promised land by scoring 19 points in the final, including six fourth-quarter free throws; and
2828 WHEREAS, also contributing significantly to the Lady Bears' title run were Claire Emery,
2929 Aaliyah Holman, Addy Osborne, Isabella Craig, Makayla Hopson, Sophia McGresham, Carlie
3030 Scurlock, Sara Valencia, Madison Davenport, Ava Grisham, Lilly Bugg, and Lilli Kerney; and
3131 WHEREAS, the Lady Bears advanced to the Class 4A West regional competition, where
3232 they crushed their quarterfinal opponent, McGavock, 66-45 and then defeated Hendersonville
3333 52-50 in the semi-final round to reach the Region 6 championship game; and
3434 WHEREAS, Mt. Juliet ended the 2024-2025 season on the road in the sectional round;

4040 WHEREAS, the Lady Bears' superb performance would not have been possible without
4141 the stellar leadership of Head Coach Jeremy Hawks and assistant coaches Caitlin Hammer,
4242 Clayton Hawks, and Ashley Serbin and the unfailing support of their families, their fans, and
4343 their community; and
4444 WHEREAS, the members of the Mt. Juliet girls' basketball team epitomize all that is
4545 good in today's student athletes, as they have achieved a premier level of success in
4646 competition while exhibiting the highest degree of character in all aspects of life; and
4747 WHEREAS, the perseverance, determination, work ethic, and talent of this group of
4848 young ladies not only made possible an outstanding season but also surely bode well for their
4949 future success; and
5050 WHEREAS, the members of this General Assembly find it appropriate to acknowledge
5151 and applaud the Mt. Juliet Lady Bears for their outstanding season on the hardwood; now,
5252 therefore,
5353 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED
5454 FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE
5555 CONCURRING, that we honor and commend the members and coaches of the Mt. Juliet High
5656 School Lady Bears girls' basketball team upon winning the 2025 TSSAA Class 4A District 12
5757 tournament and reaching the sectional round and extend to them our best wishes for every
5858 continued success in all their future endeavors.
5959 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
6060 for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
6161 the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear
6262 without House or Senate designation.
