A RESOLUTION to honor and commend the Mt. Juliet Lady Bears 
girls' basketball team upon winning the 2025 
Class 4A District 12 tournament. 
 
 WHEREAS, it is fitting that this General Assembly should salute those student athletes 
who, through their extraordinary efforts, have distinguished themselves as true champions of 
whom we can all be proud; and 
 WHEREAS, one such exemplary group of lasses is the Mt. Juliet High School Lady 
Bears girls' basketball team, whose members have proven themselves to be the fiercest of 
competitors and truly worthy of admiration by winning the TSSAA Class 4A District 12 
tournament; and 
 WHEREAS, in the championship game, the Lady Bears clipped the wings of the Green 
Hill Lady Hawks by a score of 59-54 to bring home the gold; and 
 WHEREAS, Mt. Juliet relied heavily upon the talent, competitive spirit, and leadership of 
the tournament's Most Valuable Player, McClaine Ringenberg, who led the Lady Bears to the 
promised land by scoring 19 points in the final, including six fourth-quarter free throws; and 
 WHEREAS, also contributing significantly to the Lady Bears' title run were Claire Emery, 
Aaliyah Holman, Addy Osborne, Isabella Craig, Makayla Hopson, Sophia McGresham, Carlie 
Scurlock, Sara Valencia, Madison Davenport, Ava Grisham, Lilly Bugg, and Lilli Kerney; and 
 WHEREAS, the Lady Bears advanced to the Class 4A West regional competition, where 
they crushed their quarterfinal opponent, McGavock, 66-45 and then defeated Hendersonville 
52-50 in the semi-final round to reach the Region 6 championship game; and 
 WHEREAS, Mt. Juliet ended the 2024-2025 season on the road in the sectional round;

 WHEREAS, the Lady Bears' superb performance would not have been possible without 
the stellar leadership of Head Coach Jeremy Hawks and assistant coaches Caitlin Hammer, 
Clayton Hawks, and Ashley Serbin and the unfailing support of their families, their fans, and 
their community; and   
 WHEREAS, the members of the Mt. Juliet girls' basketball team epitomize all that is 
good in today's student athletes, as they have achieved a premier level of success in 
competition while exhibiting the highest degree of character in all aspects of life; and 
 WHEREAS, the perseverance, determination, work ethic, and talent of this group of 
young ladies not only made possible an outstanding season but also surely bode well for their 
future success; and 
 WHEREAS, the members of this General Assembly find it appropriate to acknowledge 
and applaud the Mt. Juliet Lady Bears for their outstanding season on the hardwood; now, 
therefore, 
 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED 
FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE 
CONCURRING, that we honor and commend the members and coaches of the Mt. Juliet High 
School Lady Bears girls' basketball team upon winning the 2025 TSSAA Class 4A District 12 
tournament and reaching the sectional round and extend to them our best wishes for every 
continued success in all their future endeavors. 
 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared 
for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to 
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear 
without House or Senate designation.
